Senior Lexi Lenaghan (Hanover, Mass.) scored seven times and Babson finished with a 20-5 advantage in draw controls on its way to stunning then-16th-ranked Bates, 17-6, back on March 6 at MacDowell Field. Senior Riley Buonagurio (Duxbury, Mass.), sophomore Sara O'Connor (Marshfield, Mass.) and first-year Coco Creedon (McKinney, Texas) all tallied twice as the Beavers scored 11 of the game's first 12 goals on their way to defeating a nationally-ranked foe for the first time since 2010.

First-year James Welch (Needham, Mass.) connected on four of Babson's school-record 19 three-pointers to help the Beavers run away from Tufts, 94-73, in the opening round of the New England Big 4 Challenge on December 1 inside Staake Gymnasium. Senior Brandon Johnson (Mount Vernon, N.Y.) and juniors Julian Alexis (Somerville, N.J.) and Frank Oftring (North Attleboro, Mass.) all made three triples apiece as the Green and White shot a blistering 71.4 percent from beyond the arc in the first half and connected on 19-of-31 attempts (61.3 percent) for the game.
14 | Korzec's Late Brace Sends Women's Soccer Past Springfield
Trailing 1-0 late in regulation, first-year Katelyn Korzec (Whitman, Mass.) scored twice in a span of just over eight minutes to send Babson to a 2-1 victory over Springfield on October 9 at MacDowell Field. After blasting home a rebound for her first collegiate goal in the 81st minute, Korzec headed home the game winner inside the near post off a service by senior Jessica Fernandes (Pawtucket, R.I.) in the 89th minute to help the Beavers defeat the Pride at home for the first time since 2004.
