BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Athletics Communications and Marketing Coordinator Temitope Bajulaiye has been elevated to a new full-time position in the department titled marketing & new media specialist, effective immediately.
Bajulaiye served in the aforementioned coordinator role for two years in a position that was funded through the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship Grant Program.
"Temi has been extraordinary and worked extremely hard to earn this promotion," said Babson Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Communications Scott Dietz. "Not only is he talented on the technical side, but Temi is an excellent fit and addition to our department as he is relationship driven, eager to help others, and constantly looking to move Babson Athletics forward. The value he brings to the department, division and College is immeasurable."
In his new role, Bajulaiye will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic social media and campus marketing plan to enhance the Babson brand. Specific duties will include campus fan and student engagement, video production, game coverage and promotion, story writing, and community outreach.
"From my very first conversation with the staff and student-athletes, I knew it was going to be a great fit," said Bajulaiye. "I couldn't be more excited to officially join the athletics staff at such an exciting time for Babson. To be at an institution that prides itself on the Division III student-athlete experience is an honor."
During his tenure at Babson, Bajulaiye developed relationships with the Campus Activities Board and College Marketing staff while playing a significant role in video partnerships with Keemotion, REELY and the Lax Sports Network. He also implemented cinematic highlights for varsity sport contests and special events, regularly traveled with teams to produce in-game content, and aided in the video production of live home events.
A 2016 graduate of Binghamton University with a degree in economics, Bajulaiye was a four-year member of the men's track & field squad. He was selected as America East Most Outstanding Rookie at the 2013 indoor championships after winning the 500-meter dash. Bajulaiye also earned three all-conference awards during his career.
As a senior at Binghamton, Bajulaiye was an intern in the Bearcats' athletics communications office where he created social media graphics, assisted in the production of live sporting events, and produced a bi-weekly video series. Additionally, he was a social media intern at FloSports in Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2015.
