BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Director of Athletics Performance Rick Burr announced the hiring of Timothy Post, ATC, as an athletic trainer on Friday morning.
Post comes to Babson after spending nearly four years as a resident athletic trainer at Division I Boston College. One of 13 athletic trainers on the Eagles' staff, he was responsible for injury evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for both the women's swimming & diving and football programs.
In his new position with the Beavers he will be working directly with the field hockey, men's and women's swimming & diving, and men's lacrosse programs.
"We are very excited about Tim joining our sports medicine team," said Burr. "Babson is very familiar to Tim as he did an internship with us in 2013. He brings with him incredible knowledge from his previous position at Boston College that will definitely make our sports medicine team better."
A 2015 graduate of nearby Lasell University, Post earned valuable clinical experience as an undergraduate, which included five months at Babson in the spring of 2013. He spent the fall of 2013 working with the football program at the College of the Holy Cross, and provided coverage for Boston College's men's ice hockey program during the 2014-15 season.
"It is an honor to be working here at Babson," commented Post. "I'm really excited to get started with the athletics staff in this brand new facility. It's an exciting time to be here at Babson and I'm glad I can be a part of it."
Post, who earned his master of science in leadership & administration from Boston College in 2018, has been a member of both the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts since 2012.
