Josh MacArthur began his tenure as Babson's Director of Athletics in August of 2006. Since his arrival, Babson has enjoyed tremendous success, winning eight conference championships and sending 10 teams to national championship competition, including a school-record five in 2008-09. In addition, Babson has embarked on many off-the-field projects under MacArthur's direction, including advances in technology (a new athletics web site, streaming video of numerous sports, live stats at most home contests), major facility improvements (Lunder Fitness Center upgrades, new sound systems at Hartwell-Rogers, MacDowell, and softball game fields, a new Athletics Hall of Fame display), and many other administrative improvements.

Prior to his arrival at Babson, MacArthur served as the Associate Director of Athletics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore for four years. Before that he spent seven years at Dartmouth College, working in two positions within athletic facilities and operations, as well as one year at the University of Pennsylvania.

MacArthur holds a Master's Degree in Sports Management from the University of Richmond and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College. He also completed the Senior Executive Program at the Sports Management Institute in 2001. He played soccer for two years at Hobart and later spent three years as an assistant soccer coach at William Smith College.
