    BRUNSCWICK, Maine—Junior Charlotte Margel (Ridgewood, N.J.) wrapped up a fine junior season by setting the school record at the 6K distance as the Babson College cross-country teams finished their 2011 season on the Pickard Field Course of Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon. The Babson College women finished tied for 21st out of 51 teams, as all seven of their runners finished the day with new personal-best times on the 6K course. The Beaver men finished 20th out of 48 squads on the 8K course, jumping up four spots from last year, and posting their best finish in over a decade.

    Nine members of the Babson College cross country teams were named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team when the league's postseason awards were announced recently. Senior Michelle Black (San Diego, Calif.), senior Wendy Glickenhouse (Red Hook N.Y.), and junior Charlotte Margel (Eidgewood, N.J.) were each selected from the women's team, while senior Michael Smith (Brockton, Mass.), junior Chris Pierce (Wilton, Conn.), junior Jake Williams (Scaggsville, Md.), junior Scott Worth (Laurel, N.Y.), sophomore Will Hallock (Pittsford, N.Y.), and sophomore Nate Kolman (Long Grove, Ill.) were the honorees from the men's team.
