St. Lawrence Rallies Past Baseball, 8-6
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Babson College baseball team lost its second straight game on Monday, as St. Lawrence University came from behind twice to edge the Beavers, 8-6. With the loss, Babson dropped to 3-2 with two games to go on its spring break trip to Florida.
Babson jumped out to a big lead early, scoring five runs in the bottom of the second. SLU then plated five runs of its own in the top of the third to tie the game at 5-5.
The Beavers once again moved in front with a run in the sixth, but St. Lawrence rallied again with two runs in the eighth and another in the ninth for the 8-6 victory. The Saints outhit Babson, 15-12, while the Beavers also committed five errors.
Senior Chris Legrow (North Andover, Mass.) suffered the loss in relief, dropping his record to 0-1 on the year.
