Babson is 6-6 all-time against Bowdoin although the teams have met just once since 2000.
The Polar Bears scored seven runs in the top of the first inning and defeated Babson, 16-9, on March 15, 2015, in Winter Haven, Fla. Cole DiRoberto had three hits and drove in three runs for Bowdoin, which pounded out 17 hits. Senior Jake Weiss went 3-for-6 with two runs scored to lead the Beavers, who saw five players finish with at least two hits.

SCOUTING THE POLAR BEARS
Bowdoin (3-3) snapped a three-game losing streak by sweeping Gordon with 4-1 and 5-2 wins on Thursday. Sophomore Colby Joncas had two hits and two RBI in the opener, while classmate Brandon Lopez doubled twice and drove in two runs in the nightcap for the Polar Bears, who doubled four times in each contest. Joncas is hitting .313 with a triple and three RBI, senior Evann Dumont-LaPointe is batting .300 with three extra-base hits and four RBI, and first-year Connor Lee checks in at .286 with two doubles and two runs scored. Seven different pitchers have thrown at least three innings this spring for Bowdoin, which has a 4.39 team ERA.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Babson (2-2) enters the first of seven games in Florida coming off a 5-0 win over Mass. Maritime on March 9. Juniors Adam Ayala and David Lennon both doubled and drove in two runs apiece, while classmate Teddy Carey allowed just one hit over seven innings for the Beavers, who got hits from eight different players in the victory. Sophomore Brian McHale is 5-for-7 with a double and three RBI in two starts, senior Jack Halpin is batting .278 with five runs batted in and Ayala is hitting .273 with a double, three stolen bases and two RBI. Carey is 2-0 with 14 strikeouts in 13.0 innings over two starts for the Green and White, which boasts a 3.06 team ERA.
PROVIDING THE POWER
Halpin, junior Mark Webber and sophomore Connor Gill combined to produce 16 extra-base hits while driving in 19 runs for the Beavers in nine games in Florida last season.
Carey, who has not allowed an earned run this season, collected his second consecutive NEWMAC Pitcher of the Week award on Monday. He allowed just an infield single against Mass. Maritime and is now 5-1 with a miniscule 0.51 ERA in 35.0 innings over his last six appearances.
FINDING THE GAPS
The Beavers have recorded at least one extra-base hit in 17 of the 19 games going back to April 16 of last season, which includes eight doubles and four home runs in four outings this spring.
KEEPING IT IN THE YARD
The Babson pitching staff has not allowed a home run in six consecutive games going back to last season's NEWMAC Tournament.
