While Babson has always had a strong baseball program, I'd be lying if I said that was the main reason I chose to become a Beaver. When I made my college decision, the most important factor was the school and the education that I'd receive through my four years.
As an aspiring business student, I knew that I couldn't go wrong with Babson. And to have the opportunity to play baseball really just made it a perfect fit. Never could I have imagined how perfect that fit really was. The Babson baseball team provided me with the experience of a lifetime, one that truly could not be replicated anywhere else.
During my four years, our group of tough, hardworking, and closely-bonded individuals endured through the program's highest of highs and lowest of lows. Both of which would not have been possible without unbelievable leadership from the coaches as well as the numerous leaders we have scattered throughout our program. We pride ourselves in being the classiest and most professional group wherever we go, and these morals create a template that allow us to be leaders and champions throughout the rest of our lives.
In our four years, this senior class won 127 games, two NEWMAC Tournament titles, three NEWMAC regular season titles, appeared in three NCAA Tournaments, and concluded our careers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the College World Series.
This team provided just about everything there is to love about baseball through exciting, emotional games, and proved again and again that we were never out of the fight. It should also be noted that even all the way out in Iowa, Beaver Nation was by far the most well represented of the eight schools, and that speaks volumes about the culture of our program. It is truly a brotherhood that will last forever, and becoming a part of this program is a privilege and a blessing that I will be forever grateful for.
