Bruce Ginsberg begins his ninth season as an assistant baseball coach at Babson College in 2017.
A native of Framingham, Ginsberg's responsibilities include working with the infielders and recruiting for the Beavers. He helped the program win a school-record 29 games while capturing NEWMAC regular season and tournament championships in 2017. Babson, which made its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009, won four games on the way to reaching the Harwich Regional title game. The Green and White has won 24 or more contests three times since 2011.
A two-sport standout in baseball and football at Framingham North High School, Ginsberg was a four-year starter at the middle infield positions at Bates College, captaining the Bobcats during his senior season. He also played in the Boston Park League following his college career, and was actively involved in youth sports and coaching AAU baseball.
Ginsberg was a celebrated entrepreneur as CEO/Founder of Bennett Footwear Group, one of the largest privately-held footwear companies in the U.S. In 2005, he sold the company to Brown Shoe. Ginsberg currently resides in Westwood with his wife, Kris. They have three children.
