Habermehl Named to Under Armour 30-under-30 List

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College assistant men's basketball coach Andrew Habermehl was recently named to the 2017 Under Armour 30-under-30 Team presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

The 30-under-30 list, which recognizes both head and assistant coaches under the age of 30 at all levels of college basketball, was announced at the AT&T NABC Guardians of the Game Awards Show on Sunday night in Phoenix.

Habermehl, who was one of seven Division III assistant coaches named to the list, is in his second year with the Beavers. After going 23-6 and advancing to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 during the 2015-16 campaign, the Green and White won a school record 31 games and captured the program's first men's basketball national championship this past winter.

"I am excited to see that Andrew's perseverance, work ethic and character are being recognized by the Under Armour 30-under-30 program," said head coach Stephen Brennan. "Andrew's hard work has been a significant factor in our program's success in his two years on staff, culminating with this year's national championship. He is a deserving recipient and represents the best that Babson has to offer."

An eight-year coaching veteran, Habermehl went to the NCAA Tournament during his stints at both Boston University and Endicott College, and has helped Babson capture back-to-back New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season titles over the last two seasons. He has coached six all-conference players during his time at Babson, which includes four-time conference player of the year and two-time NABC Division III Player of the Year Joey Flannery.
