Perlaza Becomes Babson's Third Straight NECC Golfer of the Week

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- Babson College sophomore Camilo Perlaza (Cali, Colombia) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Golf Player of the Week on Monday. This marks the third straight week that a Beaver linkster was honored by the league, of which Babson became an associate member this season.

Perlaza posted the Beavers' top finish at the Duke Nelson Invitational at Middlebury College this weekend, shooting rounds of 77 and 79 to place 20th overall with a 156. With the sophomore leading the way, the Beavers finished 13th out of 21 teams with a team score of 650.

Babson will next be in action on October 10 and 11, when the Beavers compete at the NECC Championships hosted by Mitchell College.
