Golf Stumbles On Day Two Of Duke Nelson Invitational

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- The Babson College golf team struggled on day two of the Duke Nelson Invitational at Middlebury College on Sunday, as the Beavers finished the event in 13th place out of 21 teams.

Sophomore Camilo Perlaza was Babson's top finisher over the weekend, firing a 79 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 20th place with a two-round total of 156. Sophomore Joe Young shot an 80 for the second straight day to place 38th with a total of 160, senior captain Fernando Pineres finished 64th with a 166, and junior captain Bryan Eger took 68th with a 168.

Babson's next event will take place on October 10 and 11, when the Beavers compete at the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championships hosted by Mitchell College.
