Golf Tied For Seventh After Day One At Duke Nelson

ROUND ONE RESULTS

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- After day one of the Duke Nelson Invitational at Middlebury, the Babson College men's golf team stood in a three-way tie for seventh place out of 25 schools. The Beavers' team score of 313 was eight strokes off the lead, tying them with Skidmore College and the host Panthers.

Leading the Beavers on saturday were junior Camilo Perlaza and junior Joe Young, who each shot an opening-round 76 to tie for 11th place in the individual standings. Senior Eric Tidman was three shots behind his teammates with a 79, placing him 40th, while seniors Matt Foley and Bryan Eger stood in 77th and 91st place, respectively.

The tournament concludes with the final 18 holes on Sunday.
