NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The Babson College golf team posted a combined two-day score of 338, as the Beavers finished fifth out of 18 teams at the 2011 Hampton Inn Spring Invitational at Allendale Country Club.
Entering the day in a tie for first with tournament champion Salem State, the Beavers fell to fifth overall by posting a team total of 338 in Sunday's final round. Babson finished just one stroke behind fourth-place Rhode Island College and 16 shots in back of Salem State.
Junior Camilo Perlaza shot 84 on Sunday to finish in a tie for ninth-place overall with a two-round total of 160. One shot behind him was senior Eric Tidman, who finished 11th with a 161. Junior captain Joe Young placed 14th overall with a two-day score of 163, while senior Matt Foley and senior captain Bryan Eger took 41st and 47th, respectively.
The Beavers will return to action on Thursday, when they compete at the Western New England College Invitational.
