HEBRON, Conn. -- The Babson College golf team opened its 2011 season at the Trinity Invitational at Blackledge and Tallwood Country Clubs this weekend. The Beavers finished in seventh place overall with a team score of 622 - just one stroke shy of sixth-place Anna Maira and two strokes behind fifth-place finisher and NECC foe Elms.
Senior captain Joe Young posted Babson's top finish of the weekend, tying for 10th place overall with back-to-back rounds of 76 for a two-day score of 152. Junior Wesley Tryhane came in 24th overall with a combined score of 157, followed by first-year Will Weimor in 26th with a 158. Sophomores Daine Bulik and Kenny Chong both placed 35th with matching two-round totals of 159, and junior Paul Caso rounded out the Beavers' lineup in 58th place with a 166.
Babson returns to action next weekend, when the Beavers head to Middlebury to compete at the two-day Duke Nelson Invitational.
