WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Babson College golf team turned in its best showing of the fall this weekend, as the Beavers finished sixth out of 18 total teams at the highly-competitive Williams College Invitational at Taconic Golf Course. Babson moved up two spots on Sunday after ranking eighth overall after Saturday's opening round.
Senior captain Joe Young (Westwood, Mass.) once again anchored the Beavers' lineup with a brilliant sixth-place finish out of 97 individual competitors. The veteran duffer followed up Saturday's opening round 76 with an even better showing on Sunday, carding a 72 to finish with a two-day total of 148.
Also firing back-to-back rounds under 80 was junior Wesley Tryhane (Stamford, Conn.), who shot rounds of 79 and 76 to place 24th overall with a combined score of 155. Sophomore Daine Biluk (Calgary, Alberta) followed in 40th place with a total of 160, while sophomores Kenny Chong (North Bergen, N.J.) and Will Weimar (Nesconset, N.Y.) each posted scores of 161 to tie for 45th overall.
