Men's Golf at the NEIGA Championship
Sunday-Monday, October 26-27
The Captains Course—Brewster, Mass.

THE SETUP:
The Babson College men's golf team will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule on Sunday and Monday at the 80th annual NEIGA Championship. The first round of the 36-hole stroke play event will be played on the 6,724 yard, par 72 Port Course before the teams shift to the 6,776 yard, par 72 Starboard Course for Monday's final round.

2013 NEIGA CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP:
Led by a 36-hole total of 15-over 159 from junior Vijay Vasandani, the Beavers finished tied for 15th among Division III teams and 30th overall at last year's NEIGA Championship. Classmate Chris Maguire fired a final-round 83 and senior Jay Ruvane carded an 84 on the final day of competition as the Green and White finished with a two-day team score of 666.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
Babson has been idle for two weeks after finishing eighth at the ECAC Division III New England Championship at the Crumpin-Fox Club back on October 12. First-year Kyle Alexander bounced back from a first round 84 to fire a 78 on Sunday to finish 21st overall at 18-over 162. Classmate Pranav Mohan carded rounds of 82 and 81, while Maguire posted a final round 80 for the Beavers. Alexander and Mohan are second and third on the team in scoring this fall behind Vasandani, who has a 77.57 stroke average in seven rounds. The Green and White has a team average of 319.67 through 12 rounds, and has posted a score of 319 or better on seven occasions.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
The Beavers' best finish at the NEIGA Championship came in 2000 when they finished seventh.
