Valley Country Club—Warwick, R.I.

THE SETUP:
The Babson College men's golf team will return to action on Friday with the opening round of the Rhode Island College Invitational at Valley Country Club in Warwick, R.I. Both the first round and Saturday's final round at the 6,458-yard par 72 layout will begin with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.

2014 RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE INVITATIONAL RECAP:
Led by back-to-back rounds of 11-over par 83 from Will Weimar '14, the Green and White tied for 10th at last season's RIC Invitational held at Valley CC. Weimar finished in a tie for 22nd position overall, while juniors Chris Maguire, who fired a final round 80, and Vijay Vasandani, who carded a second round 82, tied for 32nd and 42nd, respectively.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
Babson, which won the NECC Championship back in early-October, returns to the course for the first time since coming in second at the NEIGA Division III Championship at the Captains Course in Brewster, Mass., on October 27. First-year Pranav Mohan finished with a final round of even par 72 to tie for second, while Vasandani carded rounds of 79 and 78 to finish in a tie for 16th position. First-year Andrew Neal tied for 29th with a two-round total of 17-over 161, and Maguire finished in a tie for 36th place with a 36-hole total of 18-over 162. The Beavers are coming off a successful fall campaign that saw them post three top-five results in four 36-hole tournaments, while finishing with a 79.44 team scoring average.
