DARTMOUTH, Mass.—First-year Kyle Alexander (Brewer, Maine) led the way with a final round 77, and the Babson College men's golf team tied for the low score of the day at 327 to finish fourth at the UMass-Dartmouth Hampton Inn Invitational at Allendale Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers, who entered the day tied for 11th place, posted the low team score of the day along with Rhode Island College to move up seven spots in the standings. The Anchormen came in first overall with a 36-hole total of 641, edging both Endicott College and Salem State University by nine shots. Babson's two-round total of 659 was three shots clear of fifth-place Amherst College.
Alexander tied for the second-best individual score of the day at 5-over par on Saturday, and tied for 13th overall with a two-day total of 161. First-year Pranav Mohan (Fremont, Calif.) carded a 7-over par 79 and tied for 16th position at 163. Classmate Andrew Neal (Chevy Chase, Md.) finished with a final round 85 on Saturday to come in 23rd overall with a 36-hole total of 165.
Babson returns to action on Thursday when it takes part in the Western New England Golden Bears Invitational on Thursday at Veterans Memorial Golf Club in Springfield, Mass.
