Men's Golf at the Western New England Invitational

The Babson College men's golf team returns to the Western New England University Invitational for the 14th time in the last 15 years on Thursday at Veterans Golf Club. The Beavers, who will play 18 holes of stroke play at the par-72, 6,433-yard layout, have posted six top-five finishes, including two victories at the event since 2000.
2014 WESTERN NEW ENGLAND INVITATIONAL RECAP:
Led by an 11-over par 83 from Daine Biluk '14, Babson came in eighth at the Western New England Invitational on April 17, 2014. Senior Andrew Lepine shot an 85, while junior Chris Maguire carded an 86 for the Beavers, who posted a team score of 344.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
Babson is coming off a fourth-place finish at the UMass-Dartmouth Hampton Inn Invitational at Allendale Country Club last Saturday. Starting the day tied for 11th place, the Beavers tied Rhode Island College for the low team score of the day to move up seven spots. First-year Kyle Alexander tied for 13th overall after shooting a 77 on Saturday, while classmate Pranav Mohan, who is second on the team in scoring, carded a final-round 79 to finish in a tie for 16th position. Junior Vijay Vasandani leads the Green and White with a 79.27 scoring average, and has shot 79 or better in eight of his 11 competitive rounds this season.
