Men's Golf at the Elms Spring Invitational

The Babson College men's golf team will compete in its final NCAA Tournament tune-up on Wednesday as it takes part in the 18-hole Elms College Spring Invitational at the Westover Country Club. The Beavers will have 10 golfers teeing it up on the 6,610-yard, par 72 layout.
2014 ELMS INVITATIONAL RECAP:
Senior Andrew Lepine shot a back-nine 37 on his way to tying for 11th position with a six-over par 78 as Babson tied for sixth place with a team score of 334. Junior Chris Maguire finished with an 81 and classmate Vijay Vasandani carded an 82 in the Beavers' final event of the year.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
Babson finished with its lowest score in seven rounds this spring (321) on Saturday, and then posted a total of 324 on Sunday to finish 13th out of 21 teams at the Johnson & Wales Wildcat Invitational at Cranston Country Club over the weekend. First-year Kyle Alexander came in 29th after shooting rounds of 80-78 for a 36-hole total of 158, and classmate Pranav Mohan carded back-to-back rounds of 80 for a total of 160, which was tied for 36th position. Mohan, who shot a 79 at Westover GC back in September, leads the Beavers with a 79.62 stroke average, while Vasandani (80.14) and Alexander (80.20) are second and third, respectively, on the team in scoring average.
