GRANBY, Mass.—Junior Vijay Vasandani (Cebu, Philippines) shot a 7-over par 79 to come in 12th overall as the Babson College men's golf team concluded its regular season at the Elms College Spring Invitational at Westover Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Led by Vasandani, the Beavers' White team came in tied for third at 327, while the Green squad came in sixth at 340. Rhode Island College finished first overall at 307, while the host Blazers (325) came in second, finishing two shots clear of Babson and Worcester State University.
First-year Pranav Mohan (Fremont, Calif.) tied for 13th position with an 80, while junior Chris Maguire (Waltham, Mass.) and first-year Andrew Neal (Chevy Chase, Md.) posted an 83 and 85, respectively, for the White team. Fellow first-years Ian Notkin (Caldwell, N.J.) and Dan Young (Westwood, Mass.) each fired an 80 , and senior Andrew Lepine (Litchfield, N.H.) and junior Max Montanari (Wenham, Mass.) both shot 90 to lead the Green sqaud.
Babson will now turn its attention to preparations for the NCAA Division III Championship held at the Grandover Resort starting on May 12 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
