Page Named Golf Pride Grips/GCAA Northeast Region Coach of the Year

ATLANTA—Following one of the most successful seasons in program history, Babson College men's golf coach Jeff Page was selected as the Golf Pride Grips/Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division III Northeast Region Coach of the Year on Tuesday.

Page, who just completed his fourth season with the Beavers, earned the program's first regional coach of the year honor since Bill Olson in 1982. The Green and White captured its third consecutive New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament Championship and finished 25th at the NCAA Championship last month at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

A three-time NECC Coach of the Year, Page led Babson to victories at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship, the Roger Williams Invitational and the Westfield State Invitational in the fall. The NEIGA title was the first since 2000 for the Beavers, who posted five top-five results in six 36-hole tournaments during the 2016-17 campaign.

The Green and White posted an average team score of 307.00 and broke 300 four times in 22 competitive rounds.
