ATTLEBORO, Mass.—After earning medalist honors at his first collegiate tournament over the weekend, Babson College first-year Lane Bohman (Chatham, Mass.) was selected as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Golfer and Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Bohman shot 1-under par 70 on back-to-back days to post a 36-hole total of 2-under 140 for a two-shot victory at the Duke Nelson Invitational on the campus of Middlebury College. Bohman's rounds were the lowest in program history by a Babson player at Ralph Myhre Golf Club, and helped the Beavers claim their first Duke Nelson Invitational title.
Bohman's 2-under par winning total was the lowest at the Duke Nelson Invitational since 2014, and Babson's team score of 572 was the best by any team at Middlebury dating back to at least 1999.
The Beavers return to action on Saturday when they begin play at the Williams Invitational starting at 1 p.m.
