Wednesday, April 18—8 a.m.
Newport National Golf Club—Middletown, R.I.

THE SETUP
The Babson College men's golf team will return to Newport National Golf Club to take part in the Bentley Classic for the second year in the row. The Beavers will play 36 holes on Wednesday on the par-72, 6,553-yard course that is rated as one of the top in New England.

2017 BENTLEY CLASSIC RECAP
Sophomore Chris Bornhorst finished in a four-way tie for second with a 1-over par round of 73 to help Babson come in second at last year's event on April 18. Senior Kyle Alexander fired a 2-over 74 to tie for sixth, while junior Riley Whitham carded a 5-over 77 to grab a share of 13th place.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Babson enters Wednesday's event coming off a runner-up finish at the UMass Dartmouth Hampton Inn Invitational at Allendale CC over the weekend. First-year Lane Bohman tied for 12th with a 36-hole total of 11-over 155 and both Bornhorst and first-year Reed Wilson were tied for 19th just a shot behind him at 12-over 156. The Beavers' team score of 620 was 14 shots behind first-place Trinity. Bornhorst (74.47) leads the Green and White with five top-five finishes, while Bohman (75.00) and Wilson (75.92) have combined for 10 top-15 results this year. The Green and White has three victories and has not finished outside the top four in any of its last seven events.

BABSON IN THE REGIONAL RANKINGS
The Beavers debuted at No. 5 in the initial NCAA northeast regional rankings last Thursday behind Trinity, NYU, Rochester and Husson. Despite finishing second to Trinity, the Green and White was three shots better than Husson at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
