SUTTON, Mass.—Senior Benjamin Crawford (Houston, Texas) shot a 3-over 75 to help the Babson College men's golf team post a three-shot victory at the one-day Rich Korzec Invitational hosted by Worcester State at Blackstone National Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Beavers team score of 308 was three shots clear of second-place Nichols (311), while Wenthworth came in third at 329.
Crawford finished second to TJ Barber of Nichols who shot 74, while sophomore Reed Wilson (Redlands, Calif.) and junior Martin Jensen (Darlington County, Ga.) both shot 76 to grab a share of third place. Junior Ross Rabin (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) and first-year William Lowenstein (Winchester, Mass.), who was making his collegiate debut, both shot 81 to finish in a tie for ninth position at 9-over par.
Babson returns to action on Thursday when it begins play at the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship in Williamsburg, Va.
