Testa, Woods Receive Weekly ECAC East Honors

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- After leading their team to a dominating weekend sweep of the University of New England and the University of Southern Maine, Babson College ice hockey junior forward Terry Woods (Duxbury, Mass./Andover Academy) and freshman goalie Zeke Testa (Wellesley, Mass./Berkshire School) were both honored by the ECAC East on Monday. Woods was named ECAC East Player of the Week, while Testa earned ECAC East Goalie of the Week honors.

Woods scored five goals in leading Babson to back-to-back wins this weekend. On Friday night, he scored two goals - both of which came in the second period - to help the Beavers earn a 6-0 win at the University of New England. The following day, Woods recorded a hat trick in a 5-1 victory over Southern Maine, scoring twice in the first period and again in the third. Woods now leads Babson with 10 goals and seven assists for 17 points this season.

Testa went 2-0 with a shutout, a 0.50 goals against average, and a .984 save percentage in the two games. On Friday night, he stopped all 36 shots that he faced to earn his first career shutout in the win over UNE. Then on Saturday, Testa again went the distance in net, making 25 saves and allowing just one goal to help the Beavers top Southern Maine. For the week, Testa stopped 61 of 61 shots in 120 minutes of action.
