    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Seniors Troy Starrett (Bellingham, Mass.) and Nik Tasiopoulos (Norwell, Mass.) each scored third-period goals while sophomore goaltender Jamie Murray (Scituate, Mass.) made 38 saves, helping second-seeded Babson College win its second consecutive Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East Tournament championship with a 2-1 victory over top-seeded Norwich University on March 8 in Northfield, Vermont.

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Nationally-ranked Babson College scored three times in a span of 3:43 midway through the second period and sophomore goaltender Jamie Murray (Scituate, Mass.) set a new single-season shutout record, stopping 27 shots to post his fourth clean sheet of the year, as the Beavers topped the University of Southern Maine, 3-0, on February 8 at the Babson Skating Center.

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—For the second time in three years the Babson College men’s ice hockey team took part in Frozen Fenway, facing off against Norwich University in an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East contest at Fenway Park on January 9. In a game that featured two of the nation’s best squads, the fifth-ranked Cadets notched the game’s only goal midway through the third period to edge the sixth-ranked Beavers, 1-0, in front of a crowd of 2,430 at the historic ballpark.
  • Ice Hockey's Murray Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

    BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College sophomore goaltender Jamie Murray (Scituate, Mass.) was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Capital One Academic All-District first team on Thursday afternoon. By virtue of earning this honor, Murray is now eligible for the Academic All-America team, which will be announced later this month.

    BOSTON—After one of the best season's in program history, culminating with a second consecutive Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) East Tournament championship and a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals, head coach Jamie Rice and sophomore Jamie Murray (Scituate, Mass.) both earned top honors from the New England Hockey Writers Association on Tuesday. Rice was selected as the Division II-III coach of the year, while Murray was tabbed as the Division II-III player of the year.
