ORLANDO, Fla.—Sophomore Samuel Mishkind (Chappaqua, N.Y.) finished with four goals and two assists, while junior Austin Fabel (East Rockaway, N.Y.) added three goals and one assist to help Babson College defeat Colorado College, 11-9, in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Thursday afternoon at CNL Stadium.

With the win, Babson is now 3-3 overall, while Colorado College slips to 5-3 on the year.

Junior Jack O'Donoghue (Scituate, Mass.) led all players with a career-high 11 ground balls and a season-high five caused turnovers, while first-year Tyler Patterson (Millstone Township, N.J.) forced four turnovers for the Beavers. Senior Zach Cattaruzza (Guilford, Conn.) contributed three ground balls and three caused turnovers, and first-year Kevin Klempner (Stuart, Fla.) won 11-of-21 face-offs and scooped up seven ground balls in the victory.

The Green and White led 4-2 at the end of the first quarter and got goals from Fabel, junior Jason Cox (Hopkinton, Mass.) and sophomore Brendan Duffy (Duxbury, Mass.) in the second period to carry a 7-5 advantage into the break. Miskind tallied a pair of third-quarter markers, and Fabel completed his hat trick early in the fourth to keep the Beavers in front 10-8.

The Tigers got within a goal midway through the final stanza, but Babson caused five turnovers in the frame, and Mishkind notched a man-up goal in the final minute to seal the win.

First-year Christopher Aranalde (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) made nine of his 15 saves in the second half for the Beavers.

Babson returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Trinity at 4 p.m.
