WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Samuel Mishkind (Chappaqua, N.Y.) was tabbed as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday afternoon.
Mishkind matched his career high with seven goals in Saturday's 17-5 victory at Emerson. He scored his first goal early the first quarter and then erupted for three tallies apiece in both the third and fourth periods as the Beavers stayed unbeaten in league play.
One of just four Babson players to surpass 40 points in three separate seasons, Mishkind has scored 35 goals and dished out a career-best nine assists for 44 points in 12 games this spring. He is just one point shy of his career high achieved last season, and has produced 123 goals and 23 assists for 146 points in 55 career games.
Babson (7-5, 3-0 NEWMAC) returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Wheaton at 7 p.m.
