Men's Alpine Skiing Places Three First-Years on All-MacConnell Division Squad

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Following the program's fourth runner-up league finish in five years, the Babson College men's alpine ski team placed first-year racers Douglas DeLuca (Holderness, N.H.), MacIntyre Henderson (Park City, Utah) and Sean Robinson (Reno, Nev.) on the All-MacConnell Division team earlier this week.

DeLuca recorded three podium finishes and seven top-10 results on his way to finishing third in the individual league standings. He posted his first career victory in the slalom at West Mountain on January 22 and added one second-place and one third-place result in the giant slalom on his way to finishing inside the top six on five occasions this winter.

Henderson completed eight of 10 races and recorded a team-high six top-five results to finish fourth in the MacConnell Division standings. He won the GS at West Mountain on January 21 and posted a pair of podium finishes in both the slalom and giant slalom while coming in worse than 11th just once over his final eight events.

Robinson completed eight of 10 races and posted four top-10 results to come in 11th in the league standings. After coming in 14th or 15th in four of the Beavers' first six races, he concluded the regular season with three top-10 showings, including the first runner-up finish of his career in the slalom at Blackwater/Proctor last Sunday.

Babson will compete in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Eastern Regional Championships for the third straight year this weekend at West Mountain.
