Alpine Ski at West Mountain
Saturday-Sunday, February 3-4
Queensbury, N.Y.

THE SETUP
The Babson College men's and women's alpine ski teams will travel to West Mountain for the fourth consecutive weekend of MacConnell Division competition. The Beavers will race in the giant slalom on Saturday and the slalom on Sunday.

LAST TIME AT WEST MOUNTAIN
The Babson men came in first in both the GS and the slalom, while the women finished second in the GS and fourth in the slalom at West Mountain on January 21-22, 2017. Sophomore Douglas DeLuca won the men's slalom and classmate MacIntyre Henderson took first in the GS, while sophomore Elizabeth Baer finished fourth in the giant slalom and seventh in the slalom for the Beavers' women's team.

SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
The Green and White is looking to bounce back after coming in third and fourth in a pair of giant slalom races at Whiteface Mountain last weekend. Sophomore Jack Blanchard placed fourth in both events, while Henderson came in seventh and 12th, respectively. Blanchard, who has one victory and five top-four results, is second in the MacConnell Division standings, while Henderson (4th), DeLuca (7th) and sophomore Sean Robinson (11th) give the Beavers four of the top 11 in the league standings.

SCOUTING THE BABSON WOMEN
After winning two of the season's first three events, the Beavers came in third in both GS races last weekend at Whiteface. Baer placed fifth on both Saturday and Sunday, while senior Tatum Alkier finished eighth on day one and 10th on day two. Baer (6th), Alkier (8th) and senior Michelle Martin (9th), who missed Sunday's race, give Babson three skiers in the top 10 of the MacConnell Division standings. Junior Teagan Mosenthal, who came in ninth in the first of two races last weekend, is currently 11th in the league standings.

THREE-TEAM BATTLE
The Babson men, who have finished no worse than second in five consecutive races at West Mountain, enter the weekend in third place behind defending league champion Clarkson and second-place Castleton at the midway point of the season. The Golden Knights and Beavers have each won a pair of races, while the Spartans own four runner-up results.

CHASING THE SPARTANS
The Babson women are currently tied with UConn for second place five points behind Castleton, which took control of the MacConnell Division with back-to-back victories last weekend.
