WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College senior Noah Parker (Hampden, Maine) repeated as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week when the league announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.
Parker extended his scoring streak to four games with a goal in each match as the Beavers picked up a pair of wins. He put away a header late in the first half of Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Eastern Connecticut State, and then scored the go-ahead marker with a spectacular volley in the 59th minute of Saturday's 2-1 come-from-behind triumph at Clark.
Parker, who ranks third in the conference in scoring with six goals and five assists for 17 points, has been tabbed as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week three times over the last five weeks. He has produced six goals over Babson's last five matches and has at least one point in eight of the team's last nine contests going back to September 22.
The Beavers (9-2-4, 4-0-2 NEWMAC), who have moved into first place in the league standings and were eighth in last Wednesday's NCAA regional rankings, host Bridgewater State on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Coast Guard on Saturday at 2 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
