THE SERIES
• Babson and Coast Guard will meet for the 55th time on Saturday afternoon in a series that dates back to 1968. The Beavers are 38-9-7 all-time against the Bears but have dropped three of the last four matches between the sides.

LAST MEETING
• Senior Patrick Palmero-Re scored in the 14th minute and Jake Sorenson made it stand up with one save as Coast Guard defeated Babson, 1-0, in the regular season finale on October 28, 2017, in New London, Conn.

LAST BABSON WIN
• Tyler Carlos '16 scored in the 66th minute and Stephen Donato '16 made on save as the Beavers defeated Coast Guard, 1-0, on September 19, 2015, in New London.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
• Coast Guard (6-8-3, 1-4-1 NEWMAC) is coming off a 1-0 win over UMass Dartmouth but have been eliminated from conference tournament contention.
• Greg Burnham scored off a corner in the 32nd minute for the Bears, who got three saves from Dakota Harich against the Corsairs.
• Burnham (5-1-11) leads the team with three game-winning goals, Palmero-Re (3-4-10) is second on the team in assists, and sophomore Noa Pagatpatan has scored all three of his goals against non-league foes.
• Harich (4-7-2) has made 12 starts posting a 1.00 goals against average and a .783 save percentage to go along with three shutouts.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (10-2-4, 4-0-2 NEWMAC), which is up to third in the NCAA regional rankings, has won four straight games after downing Bridgewater State 3-1 on Tuesday.
• Juniors Youcef Ziad, classmate Alex Crompton and first-year Mitchell Collins all scored for the Beavers, who got three saves from junior Austin Mankouski.
• Senior Noah Parker (6-6-18) ranks third in the conference in scoring, Crompton (3-3-9) is second on the team in goals and assists, and junior Chris Czarnecki (2-3-7) and Collins (2-3-7) have combined for four goals and six assists.
• Junior goalkeeper Steven Heintzelman boasts a 0.65 goals against average and a .875 save percentage to go along with seven clean sheets in 13 starts.

ANDERSON JOINS EXCLUSIVE CLUB
• Head coach and Babson Hall of Famer Jon Anderson '75 became the seventh active coach and just the 20th in Division III history to reach 400 wins when the Beavers defeated Bridgewater State on Tuesday night.
• Anderson boasts a .667 winning percentage (400-182-72) and has led the Green and White to the NCAA Tournament 16 times and has won during his 33-year tenure.

WHAT'S AT STAKE AGAINST THE BEARS
• The Green and White entered the weekend entered the weekend with a one-point lead in the race for the No. 1 seed in next week's conference tournament, but now is two points in back of Springfield and one behind WPI after the Pride and Engineers picked up victories on Saturday. A victory over the Bears would give the Beavers the top seed, a draw would make them the two seed, and a loss would leave Babson as the third seed. 

BEAVERS SET TO HONOR "WILD WILL"
Will McHugh, who is better known as Wild Will of Westwood, joined the Babson men's soccer program in 2014 through Team IMPACT and will be honored prior to the start of Saturday's match against Coast Guard. Will, who suffers from Lissencephaly, is a fixture on the sidelines during games with his parents Bill and Donna, and has been a part of the program's three NCAA Tournament appearances in four years.

RISING IN THE RANKINGS
• After coming in eighth in the initial NCAA regional rankings on October 17, the Green and White moved up to third when the second poll was released on Wednesday.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
• The Beavers have won all six of their matches at home this season while outscoring the opposition 12-2.
