Men's Soccer Joins McHugh Family to Volunteer at Westwood Food Pantry

BABSON PARK, Mass.—In the spirit of Thanksgiving and the holiday season, six members of the Babson College men's soccer program joined Team IMPACT teammate Will McHugh and his father Bill in volunteering during the annual food drive at the Westwood Food Pantry last Saturday.

Juniors Steven Heintzelman (Middleton, Mass.), Ben Holman (Ashland, Mass.) and Youcef Ziad (Holbrook, Mass.) and first-years Mitchell Collins (Burlington, Mass.), Liam Hanlon (Boxborough, Mass.) and William Talleri (Manchester, Mass.) pitched in by organizing donations and stocking food in the pantry. Will, who joined the men's soccer program through Team IMPACT in 2014, and his father Bill are active in supporting the Westwood Food Pantry throughout the year.

"The McHugh family spends so much of their own time volunteering to assist those in need, so we thought we would reciprocate their efforts and donate some of our time as well," commented Holman. With the holiday season approaching, giving a little of our time to help out in the community was the least we could do, and for what the McHugh's mean to the men's soccer program, we were happy to lend a hand."

The Beavers captured their second New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season title in three years on the way to finishing the season with an overall record of 12-3-4 this past fall.
