Men's Soccer Collects Team Academic Award Recognition from United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The Babson College men's soccer program was honored for its work in the classroom when the United Soccer Coaches announced their Team Academic Award winners earlier this month.

Led by legendary head coach Jon Anderson '75, men's soccer was recognized for the third time in the last four seasons after finishing the 2018-19 academic year with a 3.26 team grade-point average. The Beavers were one of four New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) institutions to earn recognition and one of 347 collegiate men's programs in all to earn Team Academic Honors from the United Soccer Coaches.

To be eligible for consideration for team academic award honors, a school must be an active member of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2018-19 academic year.

Babson (7-4-2, 2-0-2 NEWMAC) returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts nationally-ranked Connecticut College at 3:30 p.m.
