Men's Soccer Travels to No. 10/7 Oneonta for NCAA Tournament First Round Match

BABSON PARK, Mass.—Following Saturday's dramatic double-overtime victory over WPI in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament final, the Babson men's soccer team will travel Oneonta, N.Y., for the first round of the 2019 Division III Championship on Saturday.

Under the direction of 34th-year head coach Jon Anderson '75, the Beavers (14-5-2), are back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016 and 28th time in program history and will face No. 10/7 SUNY Oneonta (17-2-0) in an opening round match. The Red Dragons defeated Plattsburgh 1-0 on Saturday to claim its 11th State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament crown, and will be making their eighth NCAA appearance since 2011.

The winner of Saturday's first round match will take on either No. 8/6 Messiah College (16-2-2), which has won 11 NCAA Division III national titles, or Framingham State University (11-8-2). Game times for all three matches will be announced later on Monday.

A full preview of the Oneonta Regional will be published on Thursday.
