WESTON, Mass. -- The Babson College men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned their first victories of the season on Wednesday, as the Beavers swept a dual meet with Regis College in convincing fashion. The men defeated the Cougars by a score of 118-92 while the women prevailed, 111-77.

Both Babson squads swept their respective halves of the meet, combining for first-place finishes in all 27 events. On the women's side, the Beavers won all 13 events, including multiple individual victories from four swimmers. Sophomore Mia Filippini (Lake Forest, Ill.) led the way with three wins, while first-years Sara Martinek (Riverside, Ill.), Brittany Bishop (Little Neck, N.Y.), and Meaghan Rohde (St. Paul, Minn.) added two victories apiece.

The Babson men also swept their side of the meet, winning all 14 events. Leading the Beavers were first-years Mike Regan (Towaco, N.J.), Justin Louie (Chatham, N.J.), and Ryan Pope (Hawthorne, N.Y.), who each won two events apiece.

Both squads will be back in action this Saturday, when Babson hosts a dual meet with UMass-Dartmouth at 1 p.m.
