NORTON, Mass. -- The Babson College swimming and diving teams lost both ends of a dual meet at Wheaton College on Saturday. The women's squad fell by a score of 180-102, while the men were bested, 154-137.
Senior captain Ted Plaisted and sophomore Tom Foutsitzis both had magnificent afternoons for the Babson men, as each factored in on four event victories. Plaisted finished first in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 IM while also swimming the opening leg of the 400 medley relay. Meanwhile, Foutsitzis added individual wins in the 50 free and 100 fly, and he swam on the Beavers' victorious 400 medley and 200 free relay teams.
Senior Aaron Paradis continued his dominance on the diving board, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, while sophomore Ryan Pope finished second to his teammate in both competitions. Junior Mauricio Krantzberg swam on both winning relay teams, first-year Ryan Akiba joined the 400 medley relay, and first-years Edvard Arnet and Joe Kent both swam in the 200 free relay for the Beavers.
Sophomore Brittany Bishop shined in the women's half of the meet, winning the 100 free and placing second in the 50 free. Also adding second-place finishes for the Babson women were first-year Keira Yeager in the 200 IM, sophomore Meaghan Rohde in the 1000 free, and sophomore Mallory Mosk in both the 100 fly and 100 back.
