BABSON PARK, Mass. -- After posting a top-three finish in both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the recent NEWMAC Championships, Babson College senior Aaron Paradis (Norwich, Conn.) has been selected to compete at the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships for the second time in his outstanding career.
The NEWMAC Diver of the Year and conference champion off both boards as a freshman in 2007, Paradis first qualified for Nationals as a sophomore in 2008, when he finished 18th in the country in the 1-meter event and 20th in the 3-meter. He returns to Nationals this winter after placing third in the 1-meter and second in the 3-meter at this year's NEWMAC Championships.
One of 22 divers selected, Paradis will join fellow NEWMAC divers Brian Sobel and Matt Fitzgerald of Springfield at the 2010 NCAA Championships at the University Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. The men's 3-meter competition will take place on Wednesday, March 17, while the 1-meter event will be held on Friday, March 19.
