Men's Swimming and Diving Tops Bentley; Women Have Win Streak Halted

WALTHAM, Mass. -- First-year standout An Truong (West Roxbury, Mass.) continued his fantastic rookie campaign with three meet records on Wednesday as he helped the Babson men's swimming and diving team defeat host Bentley College, 140-83. Meanwhile, the Falcons won the women's half of the meet, 181-58, snapping Babson's two-meet win streak.

The Beaver men recorded 10 event victories, including three by Truong. The freshman star won in the 1000 free, 200 IM, and 500 free - setting new meet records in each. Junior Isaac Breen-Franklin (Severna Park, Md.) added wins in the 100 and 200 free, while senior Michael Flaherty (Wapole, Mass.), first-year Chris Roan (East Wareham, Mass.), and first-year Austen Noh (San Jose, Calif.) also chipped in individual victories in the 50 free, 100 fly, and 100 breast, respectively. The men's 400 medley and 200 free relay teams also prevailed, with Roan and senior Greg Bissett (Cerritos, Calif.) each swimming in both.

For the women, sophomore Erica Riccardi (Los Angeles, Calif.) recorded Babson's only two victories, winning the 50 free and 100 backstroke. Sophomore Kendall Ford (Geneva, Ill.) came in second in the 100 fly, while sophomore Ascia Johnson (North Brunswick, N.J.) helped both the 400 medley and 200 free relay teams post runner-up finishes.

Both teams will head to Wheaton for a 7 p.m. dual meet this Friday, wrapping up a grueling stretch of five meets in 10 days.
