Men's Swimming & Diving Wins, Women Fall To Gordon

BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College men's swimming & diving team won 13 of 14 events on its way to a 136-100 victory, while the women were defeated 142-96 by the Fighting Scots despite a pair of wins and nine runner-up finishes in dual meet action on Saturday afternoon at Morse Pool.

The Green and White had three different swimmers win multiple individual events in a dominant performance in the men's half of the meet. Senior An Truong (West Roxbury, Mass.) touched the wall first in both the 100- and 200-yard freestyle, and then cruised to an 18-second victory in the 200-yard individual medley. Sophomore Alex Grant (St. Petersburg, Fla.) was victorious in both the 50- and 100-yard butterfly, while first-year Ryan Campbell (Wayland, Mass.) claimed both the 50- and 100-yard backstroke.

Senior Austen Noh (San Jose, Calif.) won the 50-yard breaststroke and came in second in the 100 breaststroke, classmate Andrew Wen (Boxborough, Mass.) touched the wall first in the 1000-yard freestyle and came in third in the 100-yard butterfly, and fellow senior Chris Roan (East Wareham, Mass.) was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle to go along with runner-up finishes in the 50- and 100-yard butterfly.

First-year Mitchell Posk (Boynton Beach, Fla.) won the 50-yard freestyle, was second in the 100 free, and helped both the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay teams claim victories.

The Babson women were led by junior Madeline Dupre (Fiskdale, Mass.) who touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle with the team's top time of the year and also added a second-place showing in the 1000 free. Senior Becca Greenberg (Beverly, Mass.) was the runner-up in both the 200- and 500-yard freestyle, while sophomore Reilly Robbins (Centerville, Mass.) came in second in both the 50- and 100-yard backstroke.

Junior diver Paris Ekman (Fargo, N.D.) posted her top scores of the year on both the 1-meter (257.20) and 3-meter boards (254.15), as did first-year Tessa Amoroso (Rowley, Mass.) who came in second in the 1-meter event and finished with a score of 241.15 in the 3-meter competition.

Babson returns to competition when it travels to Wheaton for a dual meet next Saturday at 1 p.m.

• Senior Alexis Duseau (Conway, Mass.) and junior Mallory Ham (Norwalk, Conn.) finished second in the 50 free and 200 IM, respectively.
• First-year Maria Orive (Guatemala City, Guatemala) came in second in the 100 free and third in the 50 free, while classmate Philipa Yu (Beijing, China) finished third in both the 50- and 100-yard breaststroke.
• Sophomore Austin Adamcheck (Newtown, Conn.) recorded a second-place finish in the 1000 free and a third-place showing in the 500 free for the Babson men.
• Sophomore Ross Ojerholm (Worcester, Mass.) finished second in the 50 free, while first-year Kenneth Mun (Hacienda Heights, Calif.) was third in the 100 breaststroke.
