WESTWOOD, Mass.—Babson College first-year Aaron Huynh (Mission Viejo, Calif.) was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Huynh won four individual events and was part of three more victories in the relays as Babson swept Norwich and Regis on Saturday and defeated Springfield for the third year in a row on Sunday. He won the 1000 free by 23 seconds with a time of 10:08.32 and the 100 butterfly (52.08) to go along with a third victory in the 200 free relay in Saturday's sweep.
Against Springfield, Huynh won both the 100 free (47.74) and 200 free (1:46.65), and was part of the Beavers' first-place finishes in both the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
Huynh currently owns Babson's top time in four different freestyle events and set a new school record in the 50-yard backstroke with his time of 24.44 back on October 27.
The Beavers (4-1) return to action on Saturday when they visit Clark for a 10 a.m. dual meet in Worcester.
