Tufts Surges Past Men's Tennis, 8-1

BABSON PARK, Mass. -- Tufts University won all three doubles matches and five of six singles contests to claim an 8-1 win over host Babson College in non-conference men's tennis action at the Boston Sports Club on Friday night. With the win, the Jumbos improved to 2-1 on the year, while the Beavers lost their second straight to even their record at 2-2.

Tufts swept the doubles matches, highlighted by an 8-0 win by Andrew Rosen and Morrie Bossen at number two. The Jumbos then won the top five singles matches - all in straight sets - to run away with the 8-1 victory.

Babson's lone point came at number six singles, where sophomore Taylor Dutton earned his second victory in as many days, 6-4, 6-3, over Tufts' Jeff Taylor.
