Stevens Blanks Men's Tennis, 9-0, In Orlando
The Babson College men's tennis team got off to a rough start on its spring break trip to Florida on Monday, as the Beavers fell to the Stevens Institute of Technology Ducks, 9-0. Junior Justin Albert (Newton, Mass.) stepped up to the number one singles position for the Beavers (2-4), where he lost a tough battle with Stevens first-year Shota Tasaki (Greenwich, Conn.), 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4).

Men's Tennis Drops Spring Opener To Bates, 7-2
The Babson College men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its 2009-10 season on Friday, as the Beavers fell to visiting Bates College, 7-2, in a non-conference match played at the Boston Sports Club. With the win, the Bobcats moved to 2-1 on the year, while Babson dipped to 2-3. The Beavers received one of its points at number one doubles, where the tandem of seniors Alex Kamergorodsky (Millis, Mass.) and Brian Lafayette (Burlington, Vt.) picked up an 8-6 win over Bates' team of Amrit Rupsinghe and Mike Reiss. Returning senior Moises Numa (Talahassee, Fla.) then earned his first win of the season at number six singles, downing the Bobcats' Ryan Mannelly in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Tufts Surges Past Men's Tennis, 8-1
Tufts University won all three doubles matches and five of six singles contests to claim an 8-1 win over host Babson College in non-conference men's tennis action at the Boston Sports Club on Friday night. With the win, the Jumbos improved to 2-1 on the year, while the Beavers lost their second straight to even their record at 2-2. Babson's lone point came at number six singles, where sophomore Taylor Dutton earned his second victory in as many days, 6-4, 6-3, over Tufts' Jeff Taylor.

Men's Tennis Suffers First Defeat At Wesleyan, 5-4
The Babson College men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday, as the Beavers fell to host Wesleyan University in a close match, 5-4. The Cardinals remained unbeaten at 4-0 with the win, while the loss dropped Babson's record to 2-1. Babson junior Austin Conti and sophomore Taylor Dutton recorded an 8-5 win at number three doubles, but Wesleyan took the other two pairings to take a 2-1 lead in the overall match.

Men's Tennis Thunders Past Salve Regina, 8-1
The Babson College mens tennis team remained unbeaten on the season with an impressive 8-1 victory over visiting Salve Regina University on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Beavers moved to 2-0 overall, while the Seahawks fell to 0-2. Babson opened with a sweep of doubles play, highlighted by a dominating 8-1 win by junior Austin Conti (Murray Hill, N.J.) and sophomore Taylor Dutton (Portland, Ore.) at number three. Seniors Alex Kamergorodsky (Millis, Mass.) and co-captain Brian Lafayette (Burlington, Vt.) added an 8-3 triumph at number one, while sophomore Nissim Cohen-Sabban (Chula Vista, Calif.) and junior Justin Albert (Newton, Mass.) completed the sweep with an 8-4 win at two.

Men's Tennis Opens With 5-4 Victory Over Roger Williams
Despite playing without top singles player and reigning NEWMAC Player of the Year Alex Kamergorodsky (Millis, Mass.), the Babson College men's tennis team opened it's 2009-10 season with a 5-4 victory over host Roger Williams University on Tuesday afternoon. The Hawks jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after the doubles matches, but the Beavers fought back and won four of the six singles matches on their way to the win.
