    BABSON PARK, Mass.—A week after reaching the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship match, the Babson College men’s tennis team earned a Pool B selection to the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship when the field was announced on May 6. The berth was the program’s first to the national tournament since 1997.

    The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced its annual award winners for men's tennis on Tuesday, and six members of the Babson College Beavers were honored. First-year Roberto Perez (Pozuelo de Alarcon, Spain) was named NEWMAC Rookie of the Year while also joining fellow freshman Victor Vu (Los Angeles, Calif.) with All-Conference Singles honors, the tandem of sophomores Connor DeFiore (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Ramone Doyley (Kingston, Jamaica) received All-Conference Doubles recognition, and sophomores Roy Murdock (Santa Monica, Calif.) and Sanjay Zimmerman (Montreal, Quebec) were each selected to the Academic All-Conference Team.
