Match Preview: Men's Tennis vs. Roger Williams University

MEN'S TENNIS: BABSON vs. ROGER WILLIAMS
Wednesday, September 28—3:30p.m., Farwell Courts

THE SERIES: Babson has won the last seven meetings over Roger Williams dating back to 2005. Five of the seven matches have been decided by one point.

LAST MEETING: The Beavers bested the Hawks 5-4 on October 5 last season in Bristol. The Green and White swept all three doubles matches and got straight-set singles wins from Danny Schneider '12 and sophomore Ramone Doyley to seal the victory.

ROGER WILLIAMS OVERVIEW: The Hawks return six letter winners from last season's 10-8 team that finished second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and advanced to the conference championship match. A pair of sophomores, Ryan Swanson and Zack Bussiere, won 13 and 11 singles matches, respectively, last year. Swanson and junior Taylor Webster had a team-best nine doubles wins. RWU opened its season with a 6-3 loss at Clark on September 14.

BABSON OVERVIEW: The Beavers return seven letter winners from last season's squad that finished 6-12, led by a trio of sophomores in Ramone Doyley, Connor DeFiore, and Roy Murdock. The Green and White also welcome back seniors Simeon Human and Mitchell Henry as both return from studying abroad last year. The Beavers opened their season with a 6-2 loss to 16th-ranked Bates last Friday, as Human and first-year Victor Vu each picked up singles wins.
