ORLANDO, Fla.— Babson College won all six singles matches in straight sets and then rolled to three easy victories in doubles play, cruising to a 9-0 triumph over the University of Puget Sound in non-conference men's tennis action on Thursday morning.
Sophomore Roberto Perez (Pozuelo de Alarcon, Spain) won 6-1, 6-2 at number one singles, classmate Victor Vu (Los Angeles, Calif.) eased to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at number two, and fellow sophomore Isaac Thylen (Surfside, Fla.) didn't drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0 romp at number three. Junior Ramone Doyley (Kingston, Jamaica) posted a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at fourth singles, while classmate Connor DeFiore (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and sophomore Saif Rahim (Hong Kong) won easily at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.
The tandems of Perez and Vu, and Rahim and Thylen both won 8-1 at first and second doubles, while sophomore Davin Garcia (Essex Junction, Vt.) and Dom Wysolmerski (Rutland, Vt.) collected an 8-3 victory at number three.
Babson will be back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Brandeis for its first home match of the spring at 3 p.m. at the Farwell Courts.
