Men's Tennis Powers Past Illinois Wesleyan, 9-0

ATLAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.—Senior Victor Vu (Los Angeles, Calif.) and first-years Charles Morris (Belmont, Mass.) and Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) all won in both singles and doubles to help Babson College blank Illinois Wesleyan, 9-0, on Monday morning at Sanlando Park.

With the win, Babson is now 2-3, while Illinois Wesleyan drops to 0-2 on the year.

Morris and junior Dom Wysolmerski (Rutland, Vt.) opened the match with an 8-0 victory at number three doubles. Vu and Rosenbluth were 8-4 winners at number one and sophomore Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) and first-year Ho Wang Alastair Ng (Hong Kong) posted an 8-3 triumph at number two for a 3-0 lead.

The Beavers rolled through singles play, led by 6-0, 6-0 wins by Vu at number two and Morris at number six. Rosenbluth picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory at number three, sophomore Connor Chin (Lexington, Mass.) won 6-0, 6-1 at number four and junior Alden Hosmer (Hopkinton, Mass.) 6-2, 6-3 at number five.

Senior Isaac Thylen (Surfside, Fla.), who was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Singles Player of the Week on Monday, finished the match by rallying for a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) triumph at number one.

Babson will wrap up its trip to Florida on Tuesday when it takes on Oklahoma Baptist at 11:30 a.m. and Nichols at 6:30 p.m. at Oak Street Park in Kissimmee.
