Men's Tennis Falls To No. 28 Brandeis, 6-3

BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College men's tennis team picked up victories at number one doubles and first and third singles, but it wasn't enough as the Beavers suffered a 6-3 loss to 28th-ranked Brandeis University in non-conference men's tennis action on Wednesday afternoon at Farwell Courts.

With the loss, Babson is now 3-5 on the year, while Brandeis, which has won four straight matches, movers to 5-3 overall.

The Green and White dropped the first two doubles matches of the day as senior Roberto Perez (Pozuelo de Alarcon, Spain) and junior Dom Wysolmerski (Rutland, Vt.) dropped an 8-1 decision at number three, while sophomore Ben Roque (Coral Gables, Fla.) and first-year Brandon Rosenbluth (Pound Ridge, N.Y.) fell 8-3 at number two. The Beavers got their first point of the day at first doubles as seniors Victor Vu (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Saif Rahim (Hong Kong,) picked up an 8-5 win.

Perez, who had missed Babson's last six matches, was a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 winner at number one singles, while Rosenbluth rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory at number three. Vu lost a tight three-set match to regionally-ranked Judges' junior Brian Granoff (Miami, Fla.), 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-8) at number two, and Roque fell 6-3, 6-1 at number four.

Rahim was defeated 6-0, 6-2 at number five singles, while sophomore Dylan Levy (Miami, Fla.) dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision at number six.

Babson will host 11th-ranked Bowdoin on Saturday at 10 a.m., while Brandeis takes on Wheaton on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
